Doctors and Staff

Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Insight Vision Center the leading provider of vision care products and services in Johnson County.


Neal Troyer, O.D.

Dr. Troyer, a native of Altamont, Kansas, graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Life Sciences. In 2003, he attended Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL where he 006graduated with a Doctor of Optometry Degree in 2007. During his externship rotations, Dr. Troyer specialized in pediatrics, ocular disease, primary care and low vision. He is an active member of the Kansas Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, Heart of America Contact Lens Society and the Olathe Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Troyer currently resides in Olathe, Kansas with his wife, Marci, his two daughters, Sloane and Demi, and son Teague.


Justin Weigel, O.D.

Dr. Weigel, a native of Kansas, received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kansas where he graduated with honors. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Dr. Weigel’s training included rotations in advanced care, low vision, pediatrics, contact lenses and primary care. He currently is a partner with Dr. Troyer at Insight Vision Center, a practice that includes diagnosis, management and treatment of ocular disease and refractive conditions of the eye. 007

Dr. Weigel currently resides in Olathe with his wife, Jen, who is a Neonatal ICU nurse at Children’s Mercy, 2 sons, Camden and Beckett, and daughter Brielle. Dr. Weigel enjoys taking time to run with his 2 dogs and kids and is an avid sports fan that closely follows the Jayhawks during football and especially basketball season.


 


Allison Emmot, O.D.

Dr. Emmot, a native of Independence, Kansas, attended the University of Kansas where she received a B.S. in Human Biology in 2010.  She then received her Doctorate of Optometry in 2014 at the University of Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, Texas.  During her externship rotations, she was trained in primary care, pediatrics and vision therapy, and ocular disease.  She is also an active member of the Kansas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.009

 

Dr. Emmot and her husband Jessy got married in the summer of 2015 and now reside in Overland Park, KS with their dog Bella.  They enjoy spending time out on the lake fishing and skiing as well as cheering on their Jayhawks, Chiefs and Royals!


Julie Zybko, O.D.
Dr. Zybko’s interest in optometry began in college when she apprenticed with an optometrist and saw the amazing impact that great vision has on people’s lives. The eyes and brain are fascinating to her and she was captivated by this field of work. Dr. Zybko was raised in Hill City, Kansas and attended the University of Kansas, graduating with honors. She traveled to Forest Grove, Oregon to study optometry at Pacific University and received her doctorate of optometry with distinction.

Dr. Zybko enjoys seeing patients of all ages. She particularly enjoys doing contact lens fits and has extensively worked with specialty contact lens fits and ocular disease. Dr. Zybko lives in Shawnee, Kansas with her husband and two boys. They love watching sports, playing outside, and traveling.

Sarah Allshouse, General Manager

As Practice Coordinator for Insight Vision Center, Sarah Allshouse provides the best customer service to all patients and maintains the day-to-day operations for all four private practices. Sarah graduated from the University of Kansas in 2009 with her Bachelors of Science in Education with an empha012sis in Exercise Science and Pre-Optometry. She joined the Insight family immediately after graduation.

She resides in Olathe, KS with her husband, Sean, and baby Sullivan. She is an avid KU fan and enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
